Our highlighting strategies are loosely as follows:
Blue - Rhetorical analysis
Yellow - Plot (major Plot points)
Orange - Topics; linguistics/ social class/ gender
Pink - Themes
Don't worry about annotating a bunch, as long as you do your FACESLAPPED and other assigned work each night (under sign up sheet) I think it is better to read the book than worry about highlighting and annotating every little thing!
